Description

The spring Blackboard meet-up is upon us. This will be a day to learn from leading institutions from the Chicago region, on the topics you want and need. Plus, you will have the opportunity to hear more about the current landscape and future direction of Blackboard. Grow your local network of Blackboard administrators, academic technologists, faculty developers, instructional designers, and more.

The meet-up will be held on Illinois Tech's Mies Campus in Hermann Hall. It is conveniently located south of the Loop, off of I-90/94 and is easily accessible via Metra or the CTA Green or Red Lines. If you drive, paid parking is available close to Hermann Hall. Lunch is included, courtesy of Blackboard. WiFi will be provided.

Following the sessions, feel free to join us for optional tours of the Kaplan Institute and Crown Hall at Illinois Institute of Technology.

  • The Kaplan Institute is the newest building on the Illinois Tech Mies Campus: "The design of the Kaplan Institute features technologically advanced building materials and systems... The building provides flexibly adaptable teaching space for Illinois Tech’s project-based, interdisciplinary courses."

  • "Nothing better expresses Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's philosophy than S. R. Crown Hall, home to the College of Architecture, and a modern masterpiece that Time magazine calls "one of the world's most influential, inspiring and astonishing structures."

Registration is due April 5, 2019 . Register now!
